Antivirus blocked the Streamore installer
This usually happens because Streamore is a new Windows app and some antivirus tools use reputation checks. The fix is usually quick: restore the installer, allow it, and run it again.
If AVG says “Threat secured”
AVG is probably using a reputation flag like FileRepMalware [Inf]. That usually means the file is new, not that the installer is confirmed malicious.
If Windows says “Access denied”
That usually appears after the antivirus already quarantined the file or blocked the temp process the installer needs to run.
What to do first
Restore the file from quarantine, add an exception for the installer, then run StreamoreSetup.exe again as administrator.
Step-by-step for AVG
1. Open AVG Quarantine
In AVG, go to Menu > Quarantine and look for StreamoreSetup.exe.
2. Restore the installer
Select StreamoreSetup.exe and choose Restore so the file returns to your PC.
3. Add an exception
Add an exception for the installer file and, if needed, the folder you downloaded it into.
4. Run it as administrator
Right-click StreamoreSetup.exe and choose Run as administrator.
Recommended exception paths
C:\Users\YOUR-NAME\Downloads\StreamoreSetup.exeC:\Users\YOUR-NAME\AppData\Local\Temp\C:\Program Files\Streamore\If SmartScreen or Defender appears
Choose More info, then Run anyway if you trust the file.
If Defender quarantines it, restore the installer from Protection History before trying again.
After restoring it, run the installer again as administrator.
Still stuck?
Re-download the installer and try again after restoring it in AVG. If the installer still gets blocked, use the portable ZIP instead.
